![]() ![]() ![]() We were originally given a hideaway villa which was number 10 and located closed to the entrance of the resort. The first 4 days we actually just stayed in the villa as there was no need to venture out. We came here for our honeymoon in May and stayed for 8 nights, it was the best 8 nights we could have asked for. ![]() The words amazing and out of this world really do not do this place the justice it deserves. For a comparable price resort, Sri Panwa would be a better choice. But when the airline made announcement on our flight delay, we requested to stayed in our room till evening, which was supposed to be our entitlement, he insisted that we have to move out of our villa! The whole experience was very unpleasant. Another disappointment, we booked a 3 days 2 night plus one night free, because our own schedule, we can only stayed for 2 nights. Our main purposes of this trip was to celebrate my friend's birthday, but when I was trying to contact our G.E.M on the arrangement of the birthday cake, he was no where to be contactable although he had assured us that he will be there for us for the whole trip. Our G.E.M is not very pro active, luckily we had read some review from tripadvisor about some of the free entitlement, like the free cocktail serving and whole free supply of ice cream. When we arrived on the island, though welcome by the GM "France" but he was not too friendly during my stay, and was introduced to the G.E.M, but 1st incident was our luggage was swapped with another guest and on the way to our ocean villa, my bag dropped from the buggy that broke my cream! The good point about this resort is the speedy check in, that we were lead to the room immediately from the peer. It was such a disappointment on this resort. The resort is 60-minutes from Phuket International Airport by a scenic combined luxury car and motorboat trip.It was such a disappointment on this resort. It’s proof that there’s still plenty of room for another resort in Thailand, if it’s a good one - all that remains is to get there before some other place is named the next Yao Noi. The variations in philosophy from spa to spa matter less than their marketing departments would like to think - what’s important above all is that the therapists are skilled and the environment welcoming and suitably sedate, two bases a professional operation like this one has no problem covering. Nothing revolutionary, just everything in its place, and nothing left off the list.Īnd the last third is the Six Senses Spa. Next on the list are the villas, fifty-four of them, with private sun decks and infinity-edge pools, each traditional on the outside (thatched roofs and all) and contemporary on the inside (satellite TV, DVD players, bathrooms with indoor-outdoor showers. Here you’re surrounded by calm seas, sheltered by the bay, with views of the jutting limestone formations that rise out of the waters - think of that pointy rock from The Man With The Golden Gun and you’re basically there.Īn idyllic location is just one-third of the formula. This particular Six Senses is located on the island of Yao Noi, in Phang Nga Bay - in the general neighborhood of Phuket, though crucially not on Phuket proper, which is an island that’s nearing maximum capacity already. The Six Senses group’s relentless expansion across the Far East continues apace as long as they’re this luxurious and well-located, though, then we’ll continue to welcome their arrival without complaint. ![]()
